I booked grooming and 2-night boarding services for my three indoor cats at Uncle Chick Cat Shop. Before the appointment, I informed the owner that one of my cats has sensitive skin and is under ongoing clinical treatment. I even provide the relevant spray that I used together with my cats food. Unfortunately, I felt this was not given adequate attention.
My cats are vaccinated, and I even provided their health cards. However, I was only informed after pickup that the vaccinations needed to be recent. As a pet owner, I wasn’t aware that “vaccinated” meant “within a specific timeframe,” especially since this wasn’t clarified in advance. This could’ve been checked before the cats were picked up not afterward.
There were also additional grooming charges added without asking for my confirmation. I would have appreciated a simple message to check with me first.
When I raised this, the shop’s response felt defensive, and I later noticed social media posts that appeared to discredit my feedback.
I know many others left 5-star reviews and that’s great but that doesn’t make my 1-star experience less valid. Every customer is entitled to share honest feedback without being dismissed or publicly undermined.
